Gucci is expanding its ambassador lineup with the addition of Chinese actor Song Weilong.

The Kering-owned brand has selected Weilong as its newest Gucci ambassador, recognizing his bold performances and versatility on screen. Weilong rose to prominence for his leading roles in Chinese dramas such as Find Yourself and Love the Way You Are, the latter earning him the Best New Actor Award at the 2019 China Movie Channel Media Awards.

Regarding his new role with Gucci, Weilong shared, "I truly appreciate the diverse aesthetics created by Sabato De Sarno and the heritage of classic craftsmanship. Gucci has opened up new possibilities for me in fashion, and I’m excited about future collaborations with the brand."

Weilong makes his debut in Gucci’s 520 Valentine’s Day campaign, joining fellow ambassador Wen Qi. The campaign, inspired by the Chinese celebration, highlights the joy of love through images and videos featuring a selection of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear pieces and accessories, including the GG Marmont bag, Gucci Moon side bag, and the Re-Web sneakers, De Sarno’s first sneaker design for the brand.

The release of the campaign follows Weilong’s recent appearances at Gucci’s men’s fashion show in Milan in January and the Gucci Ancora event in Shanghai in March.

This collaboration marks another fashion partnership for Weilong, who has previously worked with brands like Burberry and Emporio Armani for their watch collections.
